I finally returned to Sunol after all our recent rain. As I expected, everything was a lot greener. I was also happy to see the creek flowing again which is badly needed given our expected drought conditions this summer. However, I forgot how slippery things are when wet and slid down the mud into creek right here. After emptying one of my hiking boots, I noticed this image and took it.

We are having stormfronts move through and they are dumping much needed rain. With heavy rain, I have not been out to Sunol for a while. This is from late winter before we had any significant rain. It will look different when I finally do return.

Well, posts are going to be sporadic over the next month or so. We needed to replace our carpet everywhere - for a long time now.
So, we are installing bamboo flooring in all the bedrooms and the family room. In the family room, we need to replace our leaky patio door with pet door inset. When doing hardwood (er bamboo) floors, you should change the patio door first. So, chalk up a new patio door. To keep the family room warmer, we are installing a hi-tec pet door in the side of the house. With new flooring, we are also replacing all the interior doors as well. Of course, all the baseboards are getting replaced. Finally when the rooms are empty, we are painting the interior walls!
We are getting much needed rain all weekend. This was taken through the car window while waiting for Chip to come out of Walgreens this afternoon.

I have not been out shooting for a couple of weeks. So, I rummaged through the archives and played with 4 images of the wave breaking. I used Photoshop’s Auto-Align feature and layer blending modes.
